With more than 40 years of experience, Richard Tinsley is
recognized for his professional achievements as a leader in
the development of physical therapy contracts for hospitals
and clinics. He is credited with creating the first model
for management of physical therapy services in hospitals.
From the establishment of his first hospital contract in
1965 in Houston, his standards of excellence, quality, and
cost effectiveness are benchmarks for the field of physical
therapy and rehabilitation services.
More than forty years ago, Tinsley recognized the need to
provide hospitals with fully staffed and reliably profitable
therapy departments.
With his first hospital contract in the renowned Houston
Medical Center, he began the development of one of the first
physical therapy services contracting corporations in America,
which became the model for similar companies across the nation.
Tinsley Physical Therapy Inc. became one of the largest therapy
companies in the country.
From initial planning through all operation stages, Richard
Tinsley has assisted in the creation of successful, functional
physical therapy & rehabilitation departments in conjunction
with hospital architects, physicians, and administrators.
With the development of Therapy Track, LLC and its Total
Productivity Track program, he is revolutionizing the industry
again by putting a tool in the hands of managers that can
effectively achieve desired staff and individual productivity;
expected chargeable units completed and cost targets. Total
Productivity Track is unique because it is a daily, real-time
tool, rather than simply a monthly reporting device that summarizes
past performance.
Tinsley graduated from Baylor University (Waco, Texas) with
a Bachelor of Science in 1961. Recognized as an outstanding
basketball player at Baylor, he is a member of the Baylor
University Sports Hall of Fame. As an alum, he continues to
be a loyal participant and donor in Baylor activities.
